The Georgia Master Teacher Leadership Institute provides one-day, high quality professional learning sessions focusing on significant and relevant topics that build upon the leadership skills of Georgia Master Teachers. Each session is offered in regional locations on subsequent days and presented by the same national expert. The goal for this year’s program is to provide a practical and thought provoking look at what constitutes mastery and successful assessment in the differentiated classroom. Participants will focus on grading issues encountered when differentiating for students’ diverse needs presented by Rick Wormeli.
This institute is free for all Georgia Master Teachers and includes breakfast, lunch and professional materials for use in the classroom. Local school systems must provide release time for their Georgia Master Teacher to attend.
The major contributors to the Master Teacher Leadership Program are the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) and the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). To access a brochure or more information about the Leadership Institute, click on these links:

- January. 31, 2011 -- Athens
- February. 1, 2011 -- Marietta
- March. 2, 2011 -- Macon
- March. 3, 2011 -- Statesboro
More information will be distributed to all Master Teachers at a later date in collaboration with the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE).
